Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do to improve your health immediately. The negative effects of smoking on a person’s health and the health of others is well documented.

Our trained and caring counselors offer motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy and nicotine replacement therapy for individuals with a desire to end their dependence on nicotine.

We help smokers quit by providing them with a combination of repeated counseling and medication, a treatment combination proven to have the highest success rate. The Department of Health and Human Services has shown that counseling in person or over the phone increases successful attempts to quit by anywhere from 30% to 50%. When a provider prescribes medication in addition to counseling, attempts to quit are 70% more successful than with counseling alone.

All Citizen Advocates locations are smoke and tobacco free. We enforce this to ensure the health and well being of those we support and the community.
