Short-Term Residential Support for Adults and Youth

For individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis that requires 24-hour support in a structured, voluntary setting, our Crisis Residence programs provide focused, short-term care designed to help you regain stability and return to daily life.

Whether you are reaching out for yourself, your child or someone you support, the first step is simple. You will connect with a caring professional who listens, answers questions and helps determine if Crisis Residence is the right level of care.

What to Expect

From the moment of arrival, safety, respect and understanding guide every interaction. Staff take time to explain the program, review rights and privacy, and ensure each individual feels comfortable and informed.

Patients are introduced to the space, daily routines and care team early on. A predictable, structured environment helps reduce stress while encouraging individuals to actively participate in their care and recovery.

Each day is thoughtfully structured to support stabilization and skill-building, with a balance of:

  • Morning routines and check-ins
  • Individual therapy and therapeutic groups
  • Skill-building and emotional regulation support
  • Recreational and mindfulness activities
  • Educational or vocational support, when appropriate
  • Evening check-ins and a calming bedtime routine

This structure helps individuals better understand their emotions, develop coping strategies and build confidence as they move toward stability.

Adult Crisis Residence (18+)

For adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis or significant escalation of symptoms that impact daily functioning, our adult program offers:

  • 24-hour support in a safe, home-like environment
  • Intensive therapeutic services for depression, PTSD, psychiatric conditions, relationship challenges and family stress
  • Individualized treatment and recovery planning
  • Medication management
  • Peer support and skill-building

Adults in our program may continue working or attending to daytime responsibilities while receiving structured support, helping them stabilize quickly and get back on track without stepping away from their lives entirely.

All admissions are voluntary, and individuals must be medically stable.

Youth Crisis Residence (Under 21)

Our youth crisis residence program provides age-appropriate, structured support for young people experiencing acute mental health symptoms.

Services include:

  • 24-hour therapeutic supervision
  • Individual and family involvement in treatment planning
  • Coordination with schools when appropriate
  • Skill-building and emotional regulation support
  • Medication management when needed

Family members, caregivers and support systems are included throughout the process when appropriate, helping strengthen communication and support long-term success.

Planning for What Comes Next

Discharge planning begins early in each stay. Before leaving, individuals and families work with staff to create a clear, personalized aftercare plan. This may include outpatient services, community supports and safety planning, ensuring a smooth transition back to home, school or work.
