Day services
Citizen Advocates’ Day Habilitation program is a site-based service certified by New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). It provides a supportive environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can grow and thrive.

Where is the program offered?
Day Habilitation is offered in a group setting at Citizen Advocates’ state-certified locations in:
- Malone.
- Saranac Lake.
Volunteer opportunities
- Meals on Wheels.
- Lion’s mint program.
- Community beautification projects.
- Making homemade dog biscuits for the animal shelter and precious pups.
- Baking cookies at Christmas time for homebound individuals.

Employment supports
We provide employment and pre-employment services to people with intellectual, physical and emotional disabilities. We assist people with obtaining and maintaining employment at a community based job, as well as teaching pre-employment skills.
