Harison Place is a mixed-use development with 40 affordable and supported living apartments and five commercial spaces on Main Street in the heart of downtown Malone, New York.

The apartments at Harison Place are affordable to households earning 60 percent or less of the Area Median Income. Twenty of the apartments include individualized services funded through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) and administered by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Services include mental health services, career and training support, tenant education, financial planning and literacy, life skills, healthcare coordination, addiction services and more. The services and support provider for these units is Citizen Advocates.

Residents have access to a playground, laundry facilities, community room, air conditioning in community spaces and enhanced broadband internet.

A full application must be submitted in order to determine eligibility. Upon review, the applicant will be notified in writing of the determination.

Eligible applications will be automatically placed on a waiting list and processed in the order received when a vacancy becomes available.

Applications can be returned to the Plattsburgh Housing Authority or Citizen Advocates, Inc.

How to apply – ESSHI supported units:

The first step is completing a Franklin County Single Point of Access (SPOA) form. The SPOA is a one-stop shop for a wide range of mental health services available locally. This resource ensures the right service is connected to the right individual or family at the right time. Once completed, the referral is returned to the individual listed in the application.
