Women’s Equality Day holds special significance as it commemorates the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, which granted women the right to vote. This monumental achievement was a pivotal step towards ensuring that women’s voices played a role in shaping the nation’s future. Since then, women have consistently showcased their capabilities and contributions across various fields, further underscoring the importance of recognizing and advancing gender equality.

By raising awareness about gender-based inequalities, Citizen Advocates encourages open dialogue that challenges stereotypes and biases. Citizen Advocates further affirms this by including an Equal Employment Opportunity statement on recruitment materials and by offering tuition assistance to employees—75 percent of whom are women—who have a desire to advance their careers.
