Hope Smith

  • Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor

I joined Citizen Advocates in 2005 as a Prevention Specialist in the local Elementary schools, and then transitioned to providing outpatient chemical dependency services through the Saranac Lake Behavioral Health Clinic. I developed an interest in providing counseling services after completing my first Psychology course, and as a result of past experiences with witnessing individuals struggle with navigating their addictions. As a result, I enjoy providing support for individuals that are actively working to manage their addiction(s), and I hope to assist my clients with working towards achieving a sustainable recovery and sobriety.

Outside of work I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
