Meet Kamie

Registered Nurse Kamie O’Connor leads with heart and hands-on experience as the Associate Director of Nursing for Citizen Advocates’ behavioral health urgent care centers in Malone, Ogdensburg and Watertown. After 15 years in the restaurant industry, the North Bangor native followed her passion for helping others—earning her nursing credentials and joining Citizen Advocates in 2018 as a floor nurse.

Whether she’s supporting midnight shift staff through a cross-site buddy system or helping walk-in patients during peak hours, Kamie leads by example—always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed.

“I couldn’t see myself doing anything else, honestly,” she says. “When I’m here it feels like I’m home. You go home feeling good at night because you’ve made a difference in someone else’s life.”
