Citizen Advocates’ Board of Directors re-elected President Martha Dishman to a third term, appointed officers for the coming year and welcomed two new Directors at its annual meeting in January.
The Board is comprised of community volunteers representing a broad range of professional backgrounds, and is directly responsible for the ongoing governance and stewardship of Citizen Advocates.

In addition to President, the Board elected Chastity Miller Vice President & Secretary, and Nicholas Eells Treasurer.
The Board also elected Director Brock Arnold to his first full term, and welcomed back former, long-time Director Paul Goodrow. Mr. Goodrow previously served 20 years on the board and returns after a one year hiatus.
The board is rounded out with Directors Jennifer Bilow, Tammy Gordon, Deanna Smith and Felix Tam.
Citizen Advocates is a leading provider of intellectual and developmental disability, mental health, and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services in New York. In addition to being a provider of leading-edge clinical and whole-health services, the company has recently launched major initiatives.
In late 2019, the company announced an affiliation with Joshua House in Sidney, N.Y., a provider of intellectual and developmental disability services.
Citizen Advocates received approval from the Warren and Washington Community Services Boards to provide outpatient Behavioral Health Services currently offered by Glens Falls Hospital.
Closer to home, Citizen Advocates is working on an affordable housing project known as the Harison Project that would also revitalize a core section of Main Street Malone.
